I can't wait until Sunday. We are taking Savannah to her first MLB game. I'm hoping she isn't bored to tears but I am already preparing the take-along bag. I've been saving her Cincinnati Reds outfit back and not letting her wear it for the past couple of weeks so it won't get stained and dirty. I've already got new batteries in the digital camera so I'm ready.

I got a lecture on Saturday from my 3 year old. A lecture about how I made her go on the log ride at Camden Park and it was stupid and she got wet and she would never ever ride it again. Most hysterical thing ever.

I felt like the worst mother ever this weekend. Saturday I ended up grouchy and hateful. Sunday I was better but she was tired so if I got after her in the least little way she cried. I made my kid cry on Mother's Day. Yeah, I'll get no award for that one.

Vacation

I forget about this blog. I need to get some fire under my arse and keep up with it.

Anyhow, I am way excited because I work today and start a week long vacation tomorrow. Lots and lots of Vannie time for me YAY! That child is such a joy and is becoming such a comedian. She comes up with the most hysterical things that make you go WHAT?

Right now she is obsessed with Nana and Papaw R being "dad's mom and dad" and Nana and Papaw A being "mom's mom and dad". Anytime that a dicussion is had about any of them she will look at you and go, you know, your mom and dad.

I spent an hour or so just looking back at old photos online at which point it really and truly hit me that she is growing up and just how much she has changed.

I still constantly worry that I am a horrible mom. I am paranoid that I am going to do something that will royally screw her up someday.

I never knew you could hold so much love for one person as I hold for her. She's my precious angel.

savannah, being a Golden Girls fan like me, has taken to calling me pussycat ala Sophia calling Dorothy pussycat on the GOlden girls. Last night she told me, Phia calls orothy pussycat.

So I take little bit to my mom's yesterday and I park at the end of the sidewalk in front of mom's house. I get out and sit her bag down on the sidewalk and proceed to get her out of the car. I get her out and sit her down and tell her, Okay, well, mommy loves you. I'll see you later. and act like I am getting back in my car. She looks funny and then laughed and said, "go inside mommy."

I can forsee years of counseling for this poor child. I'm such a kid myself.

I feel bad because I've been a horrible mommy about keeping track of everything. I don't even have a baby book. But I can tell you right off the top of my head, she started walking July 7, 2003, she got her first tooth in January, 2003. She cracks me up. The things she says and does.
